Java was Blocked because it is out of date

  • Microsoft announced that it will soon be releasing an update to the Internet Explorer that will block old Java versions for security purposes.
  • The update will add a new security measure to the Internet Explorer known as out-of-date ActiveX control blocking, which will effectively address the problem.
  • Out-of-date ActiveX control blocking is compatible with Internet Explorer versions 8 to 11 on Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and Internet Explorer for Windows 9 and up.

  • Microsoft Site has been accessed in sify Network .
  • System will download and install the Updates when Automatic updates are ON.

Finacle Not access : Applet not initialized properly

Some time we are trouble to login in finacle Application due to blocking of Java by Internet explorer. it may shows error message like below
Java(TM) was blocked because it is out of date and needs to be updated.

Solution : Java was blocked and out of date

This issue may occur due to installation of New security updates from Microsoft, it may block outdated Java.

Step 1: Turn off Auto Updates


  • Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then press Enter.
  • Click the Automatic Updates tab, and then click to select Turn off Automatic Updates.
  • Click OK.

Step 2 : Uninstall all the Security Updates related to IE8

  • Open Installed Updates by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then, under Programs and Features, clicking View installed updates.
  • Click the update that you want to remove, and then click Uninstall.
Uninstall all the Updates related to Internet Explorer to fix Out dated Addon issues.
